Fire personnel were involved at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in two rescues of hikers either lost or possibly injured in Manoa and Wahiawa.

Fire Capt. David Jenkins said firefighters were meeting two hikers at the waterfall on the Manoa Falls Trail to determine whether they are injured and need to be airlifted out or can walk out.

Another pair of hikers were lost in Wahiawa. They started on a trailhead at the end of California Avenue.

Fire rescue personnel were actively searching for the hikers.
