Police arrest inmate who failed to return from work furlough
Police on Wednesday caught a 25-year-old inmate who failed to return from a work furlough program Nov. 26, Thanksgiving eve.
Police arrested Nikki Spears at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Kailua.
The Department of Public Safety had been on the lookout for Nikki Spears since she failed to return to the TJ Mahoney furlough home in Kalihi at 3:15 a.m.
Spears was serving time for forgery and identity theft.
Spears’ parole hearing was scheduled for February.
