Hanauma Bay Nature Park will close Wednesday so crews can repair a water pipe break in the lower park, city officials said.

A 17-year-old is in serious condition after being resuscitated at Hanauma Bay Wednesday afternoon.

Ocean Safety personnel said that at about 2 p.m. lifeguards rescued the teenage girl and she was brought from the water unresponsive and not breathing.

She had been snorkeling with family about 25 yards offshore, rescue personnel said.

She was revived — awake and breathing — after CPR was performed by Ocean Safety personnel. Paramedics transported her to the hospital in serious condition.
