Kapolei man killed in New Year’s Eve traffic crash identified

A 20-year-old man who died in a two-vehicle collision in Kapolei on New Year’s Eve has been identified as Alika H.F. White. 

White, of Kapolei, died of cranial cerebral injury due to blunt force trauma to the head, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. The manner of death was classified as an accident. 

White was traveling north on Kealiionui Street in an off-road vehicle when he drove through a stop sign and struck a car driven by a 44-year-old Waipahu woman at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, according to reports. The car was traveling eastbound on Kamakahelei Street. 

Paramedics took White to an area hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
