Jesus Ancheta Rivera was supposed to return to OCCC by 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police and sheriffs are searching for a work furlough inmate who failed to return to the Oahu Community Correctional Center after work Saturday night.

Jesus Ancheta Rivera left Saturday morning for work and was scheduled to return by 8:30 p.m.

Rivera was serving time for Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle. A second-degree escape is expected to be added as a new charge.

His next parole hearing was scheduled for the end of this month, public safety officials said.

Rivera, 36, is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 148 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He is classified as community custody, which is the lowest custody level, officials said.
