Man caught running away from officers in Kapolei
A 32-year-old homeless man tried unsuccessfully to run away from police in Kapolei Saturday night, police said.
Officers chased the suspect on foot and recaptured him on Keaunui Drive near the Kapolei Safeway, after he ran away while being questioned at about 8:18 p.m..
Besides charged with second-degree escape, Edmundo Dela Carcel was charged Sunday with fouth-degree criminal property damage. His bail was set at $15,000.
