MARYSVILLE, Ohio >> Honda has added an Acura model to the lineup of cars being built at its plant in central Ohio.

Honda owns the Acura brand and said last year it would move the assembly of the compact ILX from Greensburg, Indiana. The Honda plant in Marysville, just northwest of Columbus, began building the ILX on Tuesday.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that Honda envisions the ILX as an entry-level model for Acura, smaller and less expensive than the TLX, which is also made in Marysville.

The Marysville plant is making the 2016 model, which goes on sale Feb. 10. The 2015 model starts at around $27,000.

The plant’s main product is the Honda Accord, which sold 388,374 units last year.
