Hawaii running back Joey Iosefa celebrated a touchdown against UNLV on Nov. 22, 2014, at Aloha Stadium.

Former University of Hawaii running back Joey Iosefa told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser he has received an invitation to participate in next month’s National Football League scouting combine in Indianapolis.

Top executives, scouts and coaches will attend the invitation-only event for about 300 pro prospects.

Iosefa said he has not been told if he will compete as a running back or fullback. He is 6 feet, and will try to get down to 240 pounds for the combine.

Iosefa has a Los Angeles-based agent. He is training in Hawaii under Chad Ikei.
