Lanai Cafe, featuring Kona coffee and a Hawaiian theme, opened in Seoul recently.

A restaurant named Lanai Cafe is about to open in the chic Gangnam-gu district of Seoul, South Korea, that was popularized by a global pop hit.

Lanai Cafe will serve Kona coffee, boasting that Hawaiian Kona coffee is one of the world’s three top coffee beans.

The statement announcing the opening notes that "Hawaii is also famous for pancake," and that Lanai Cafe will serve fresh-baked pancakes made following a secret Hawaiian recipe.

The cache of Hawaii is used all over the globe to attract customers, and in this instance, Lanai Cafe will open Sunday, according to a statement. However, English text on its Korean-language website indicates that its grand opening was Wednesday.
