A 13-year-old boy was charged Thursday with second-degree robbery of an 11-year-old boy in Kalihi.

Police said the teen allegedly used physical force to rob the boy of his property at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.

He allegedly hit the boy with the item taken, causing substantial injury, police said.

Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the teen on suspicion of first-degree robbery. A petition was filed in Family Court and he was charged with the lesser crime of second-degree robbery.
