Two men and a woman were injured Thursday afternoon after their vehicle crashed into a parked fire truck on Lusitana Street, Emergency Medical Services said.

The crash occurred about 4:49 p.m., the Honolulu Fire Department reported.

A 50-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were taken to the hospital in serious condition; a 49-year-old man was also transported in stable condition.

Fire Capt. David Jenkins said Engine 01 was struck by a pickup truck. The engine was taken out of service and replaced by a relief apparatus, he said.

Firefighters were returning to the engine after responding to a medical emergency at the Physicians’ Office Building at 1380 Lusitana St. when the collision occurred, Jenkins said.

Fire personnel secured the scene and treated the occupants of the pickup truck.
