A memorial fund has been created to help support the family of Shari Naomi Afuso, a 49-year-old Mili-lani woman who died Friday, a day after she was struck by a pickup truck while jogging in a crosswalk at Mehe-ula Parkway and Kuahe-lani Avenue.

Afuso was a courtroom manager for federal Magistrate Judge Kevin Chang. She and her husband, Mark, had celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary a few days before the accident.

The fund was established to support Mark Afuso and the couple’s two teenage children, Christopher and Kerstyn.

By late Tuesday afternoon, donations had reached an estimated $44,000, much of it from law firms, attorneys and judges. The fund’s goal is $50,000.

Donations to the Shari Afuso Memorial Fund are being taken online at bit.ly/1AUrN9E.
