Freshman center Megan Huff scored 12 points and senior guards Shawna-Lei Kuehu and Ashleigh Karaitiana added 11 each has Hawaii ran its winning streak to 10 with a 75-37 victory over UC Irvine in a Big West women’s basketball game Thursday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Wahine (18-7, 10-2) outrebounded the Anteaters (5-21, 2-9) 59-25, including a 24-7 advantage on the offensive end. Hawaii outscored UCI 33-2 during a 15-minute span in the second half to take a 68-29 lead.

Mokun Fajemisin led the Anteaters with 11 points before fouling out with 9:49 to go.

Hawaii maintained its 1 1/2 game lead over UC Davis (13-10, 8-3), which comes to Honolulu for a 5 p.m. game Saturday.

The victory was marred by the injuries of senior guard Morgan Mason and Marissa Wimbley. Mason went down with an ankle sprain late in the first half and is likely out for at least a week;  Wimbley took an elbow to the forehead early in the second but is expected to play Saturday.
