Man indicted on manslaughter charge in Kauai crash

  • Joseph Michael Frye, 36, formerly of K?loa, was indicted on Wednesday for manslaughter and other charges stemming from a December 6, 2014 traffic crash that caused the death of Jonathan Renti Cruz, 56, of Kekaha.

A former Koloa man was indicted Wednesday by a Kauai grand jury on manslaughter and other charges stemming from a December traffic crash that caused the death of a Kekaha man.

Joseph Michael Frye, 36, was also charged with second-degree negligent homicide, second-degree reckless endangering and reckless driving. Frye is currently wanted on a bench warrant with bail set at $100,000.

Jonathan Cruz, 56, died in the crash.
