Judiciary seeks comments on candidates for Family Court judgeship

Hawaii Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald is seeking public comment on eight candidates for a judicial vacancy in the First Circuit’s District Family Court on Oahu. 

The nominees are: Thomas J. Brady, Brian A. Costa, William M. Domingo, Thomas A.K. Haia, Jessi L.K. Hall, Timothy E. Ho, Linda S. Martell, Dyan Marie Medeiros.

The nominee selected by Recktenwald is subject to Senate confirmation.

The position became open after Judge Christine Kuriyama was appointed to the First Circuit Court, state Judiciary officials said.

Comments about the qualifications and character of any of the nominees may be sent to: Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald, Supreme Court of Hawaii, 417 South King St., Honolulu, HI 96813; faxed to 808-539-4703; or emailed to chiefjustice@courts.hawaii.gov.

Comments, which will be kept confidential, must be post-marked, emailed, faxed, or hand delivered no later than April 2, according to the state Judiciary.
