Ocean Safety officials rescued three 15-year-old boys and one 17-year-old boy who were injured after jumping off of a cliff into the waters between Hanauma Bay and Lanai Lookout on Saturday.

The boys were unable to get out of the water due to strong surf, officials said. A witness said the fourth boy attempted to rescue the other boys.

Lifeguards rescued the four boys around 12:30 p.m. and brought them to safety.

One of the 15-year-old boys was taken to the hospital in serious condition after suffering abrasions and swallowing water. The other boys suffered abrasions to their legs and were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
