Hawaii remains No. 1 in men’s volleyball poll

The Hawaii men’s volleyball team remained at No. 1 in Monday’s AVCA Di-DII Men’s Top 15.

The Rainbow Warriors (19-3, 14-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) received 11 of the 18 first-place votes. Hawaii takes a 12-match winning streak to UCLA for Monday’s match with the No. 12 Bruins (11-9, 7-9).

The top six remained unchanged with defending national champion Loyola-Chicago (18-1) staying at No. 2 and receiving four votes. Following the Ramblers are Pepperdine (1 vote), Lewis (1 votes), UC Irvine (1 vote) and BYU.

Hawaii leads the MPSF standings by a half-game over the Anteaters (20-4, 14-3) and is a game ahead of the Waves (19-4, 14-4). All three teams have clinched a berth in the eight-time MPSF tournament.
