A meeting at Kapolei Hale Wednesday night to discuss the city’s Important Agricultural Lands initiative is being postponed.

The city Department of Planning and Permitting, the lead agency for the IAL initiative, said it is postponing Wednesday’s meeting indefinitely “in recognition of the traffic situation in West Oahu.”

A new date will be announced soon, DPP said. Other meetings to be held on the issue in other parts of the island are expected to be held in the coming weeks as originally scheduled.

“In light of last night’s experience, it does not want to add more challenges to the evening commute toward Ewa tonight,” DPP said.
