Adam Caporn is expected to be the first assistant named to new head coach Eran Ganot’s coaching staff at the University of Hawaii.

Caporn, a former assistant at Saint Mary’s, has been Associate Coach of the Basketball Australia National Centre of Excellence (CoE) men’s program in Canberra.

In 2001, Caporn was first Australian scholarship player at Saint Mary’s College, opening up a long running pipeline for the Gaels.

Ganot left Saint Mary’s, where he had been associate head coach, to take the UH job last week.

Caporn played professionally in Australia with the Wollongong Hawks and Perth Wildcats.
