Peter Shaindlin, chief operating officer of Halekulani Corp., has been named to the leadership board of the International Luxury Hotel Association, a trade group.

The association works to promote, unify and advance the luxury hotel industry through various means including research. Shaindlin will serve in the leadership board position simultaneous to his role in Honolulu, as part of the executive team that leads the world-renowned Halekulani hotel as well as sister-hotel the Waikiki Parc.

Shaindlin “brings a deep and insightful wealth of knowledge surrounding the luxury hospitality industry,” said Barak Hirschowitz, ILHA president, in a statement. “His expertise is of tremendous value to the collaborative efforts we rely on from our leadership board, ensuring an exceptional program for ILHA.”

Shaindlin has worked in the luxury hospitality industry for the duration of his career, and “and I look forward to working with Barak Hirschowitz and the other members of the Leadership Board to contribute to the growth, development and success of this distinguished and consequential organization,” Shaindlin said, in a statement.
