Hawaii island police have arrested and charged a 32-year-old man with taking cigarettes in a burglary over the weekend at a Hilo business.

On Tuesday, Konyaku Kaili of Hilo was charged with second-degree burglary, driving without a license and driving without insurance. His bail was set at $2,525.

At 7:25 p.m. Sunday (April 26), someone broke into a business at the 700 block of Leilani Street and took cigarettes valued at about $150, police said.

An investigation led police to suspect Kaili, police said.

On Monday, police made a traffic stop in Hilo and arrested Kaili on suspicion of traffic offenses and burglary.
