Inmate returns to work furlough center, then walks away

A 31-year-old work furlough inmate returned to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center after work Wednesday night and then fled from the work furlough center office, the Department of Public Safety said in a news release.

Sean Young, who was serving time for theft, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and criminal property damage, the release said.

He is a community custody inmate — the lowest classification status — in the work furlough program with pass privileges.

Young is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 203 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes
