Police ask for help in catching Macy’s robbery suspect

    Honolulu police asked for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly pulled a knife on a Macy's security officer on Monday.

Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly pulled a knife on a Macy’s security officer Monday.

Police said the suspect was seen shoplifting at the Macy’s Ala Moana store Monday at about 4:40 p.m.

When the security officer approached him, the man brandished a knife, threatened the officer and fled on foot.

Police released security camera images and video of the suspect Thursday.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call police or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
