Maui police arrest missing inmate
Maui police Wednesday arrested inmate Leif Valdez, who was reported missing from a headcount Tuesday at the Maui Community Correctional Center.
Valdez is a minimum-security custody who was serving a misdemeanor, 15-day sentence for fourth-degree theft. His sentence was scheduled to end June 3. He was housed in a minimum-security dorm on the perimeter of the facility.
