Police officers, responding to a residential alarm call Thursday, spotted two men leaving a Waianae home and arrested them on suspicion of first-degree attempted burglary.

Police said the officers, responding to the alarm at one home, saw the men, who have no local addresses, ages 25 and 36, coming out of the house next door.

The incident occurred at 3:45 p.m., police said.

They fled but officers caught them nearby on Pakeke Street and arrested them at 3:51 p.m.
