Police look for suspect in assault, robbery of male in Waikiki

Honolulu police said the assailant was Polynesian, in his late teens to early 20s, 6 feet tall, 150 pounds, bald, with a dark tank top and orange/gray checkerboard patterned surf shorts.

The Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who assaulted and robbed a pedestrian on the Ala Wai Boulevard near Namahana Street on May 12.

According to a CrimeStoppers news release Tuesday, the victim, a male, was walking about 3:15 a.m. when an unknown male knocked the victim from behind. Police said the robber took the victim’s property after continuing the assault while the victim was unconscious on the ground.

The assailant fled with four other teenage-looking males on bicycles, including one that was a red low-rider with white colors, a witness said.

Police said the victim suffered multiple injuries to the head and face.
