The hot weather in June continues this week with Monday’s high temperature tying a record for the date at the Honolulu Airport.
The 90 degree high tied a record for June 22 set in 2005.
It’s the fourth record-tying heat day this month in Honolulu.
Last Wednesday’s temperature of 90 degrees at the Honolulu Airport and 89 degrees at the airport on June 16 tied records set in 1995.
The high on June 13 of 90 degrees also tied a record set in 2005 at the Honolulu Airport.
The National Weather Service expects more hot weather this week.
The forecast for south shores of Oahu, including Honolulu, calls for sunny skies during the day through the weekend, with high temperatures of 81 to 88 degrees, tradewinds generally around 10 to 20 mph.
The winds may become lighter later in the week.
