Maluhia Road on Kauai to be closed for cleanup

Kauai County officials say Malu­hia Road from the Tree Tunnel to the Ala Kino­iki junction will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for a community cleanup.

The county Roads Division also will be doing some road edge line striping.

During the closure, traffic will be diverted to Piko, Omao and Koloa roads.

The Maluhia beautification project is spearheaded by the Poipu Beach Resort Association and Koloa Plantation Days in partnership with the county and other community organizations.
