Two men inside a stolen vehicle were arrested at Sandy Beach on Saturday after the owner spotted his vehicle on the roadway and called police.

The owner, a 31-year-old man, reported his vehicle was stolen from his home on Saturday, then later that day, saw his vehicle pass him on the roadway and began following the vehicle while calling 911, police said.

Police located the stolen vehicle and arrested the driver and a passenger about 7:30 p.m.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, was booked on suspicion of operating a stolen vehicle, while the passenger, a 28-year-old, was arrested for investigation of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

Both remained in custody on Sunday.
