Missed turn leaves taxi dangling over Ala Wai

    A tow truck removed a taxi that almost went into the Ala Wai Canal Wednesday morning.

A missed turn nearly sent a taxi cab into the Ala Wai Canal early Wednesday morning.

Police said a driver for The Cab company missed making a left turn from Kalimoku Street at 3:30 Wednesday morning, jumped the curb and almost ended up in the Ala Wai Canal. 

No was injured and no property was seriously damaged, police said. 

Police cited the driver for driving without a license.
