State sheriffs and Honolulu police are looking for a 49-year-old male inmate who failed to return from a scheduled work furlough on Saturday.

According to the Department of Public Safety, Rene Adriatico was supposed to have returned to the Oahu Community Correctional Center at 4:30 p.m.

Adriatico was serving time for drug charges. He will face an additional second-degree escape charge once he is captured.

Adriatico is described as 5-foot-4, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
