Police release suspect in attempted murder case

Police on Tuesday released a 38-year-old Maili man who was suspected of trying to kill another man. 

The man allegedly stabbed another man early Monday morning with a dangerous instrument in Aiea, police said. 

Police found the man and arrested him at 4:18 a.m. Monday on second-degree attempted murder. 

He was released Tuesday morning pending further investigation. 

Police did not say why the suspect was released.
