Suspect robs Makawao pharmacy of OxyContin pills

Maui police are looking for a male suspect who robbed a Makawao pharmacy at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect entered the Makawao Pharmacy, 1120 Makawao Ave., at 12:41 p.m. and held a black pistol.

Police said the suspect, wearing a gray, hooded jacket, a red bandanna that covered his face, took an undetermined amount of OxyContin pills. 

The suspect fled the pharmacy, leaving behind clothing, which was recovered at the scene. 

Police said the man is about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, has a thin build, with fair, brown skin, dark hair and brown eyes. 

Police have opened a first-degree robbery case.
