Kama Pascua scored the golden goal five minutes into overtime to give the Hawaii soccer team its first victory of the season, a 1-0 decision over Denver on Monday night at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

UH won the Outrigger Resorts No Ka Oi tournament with the win over the Pioneers and a draw last Thursday with Wyoming.

Pascua took a pass on the left wing and reversed direction, throwing off the Denver defense momentarily. The junior went near-post for her first goal of the season. She was named tournament MVP.

UH heads to the mainland for its next two matches against Portland State and San Francisco this week.
