Despite numerous chances, the Hawaii soccer team was shut out for the first time in the 2015 season in a 1-0 defeat at Portland State on Friday.

UH had 11 shots on goal — all saved by Vikings keeper Angela Haluska — on the artificial turf at Hillsboro (Ore.) Stadium.

PSU’s Megan Myers scored the winning goal in the 29th minute during a scrum after a corner kick.

Kama Pascua attempted a team-high five shots for UH (1-3-1).

It was the first win of the season for Portland State (1-3) of the Big Sky Conference.

The Rainbow Wahine continue play on Sunday at San Francisco of the West Coast Conference.
