Hawaii's Nikki Taylor, left, and Emily Maglio blocked against Eastern Washington's Nicole Rigoni in the second set of a women's volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center on Saturday.

Hawaii junior hitter Nikki Taylor picked up her third volleyball honor in as many days when named the ESPNW national volleyball player of the week on Wednesday.

ESPNW is dedicated to recognizing women athletes. Last week’s volleyball award winner was Florida setter Mackenzie Dagostino and Wyoming libero Allison Waldvogel was the inaugural selection two weeks ago.

Taylor was named the Big West Player of the Week for the third consecutive week on Monday and, on Tuesday, was named the AVCA National Player of the Week.

Taylor had a tournament-high 57 kills with 27 digs, 16 blocks and nine service aces to help Hawaii sweep San Diego State, upset then-No. 2 Florida and beat Eastern Washington last weekend to earn Most Outstanding Player honors in the Outrigger Resorts Challenge.
