Hawaii's Emily Maglio hits past Cal State Bakersfield's Kortney Freeland in the first set of the Cal State University Bakersfield Roadrunners vs. the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine at Stan Sheriff Center on Sunday.
Sophomore middle Emily Maglio put down a career-high 12 kills and sophomore hitter Nikki Taylor added 11 kills and four aces as No. 12 Hawaii swept CSU Bakersfield 25-20, 25-12, 25-15 in a nonconference women’s volleyball match Sunday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Maglio and Taylor were both in on five of the nine blocks for the Rainbow Wahine (10-1), Kelsee Sawyer led the Roadrunners (2-10) with 10 kills.
