An Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate, who had been missing for nearly a month, turned himself into police today.

Work furlough inmate John Dziejak failed to return from a furlough pass to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center on Aug. 26. He left in the morning on a job-seeking pass and was scheduled to return at 5:30 p.m.

He turned himself in at 7:30 a.m. at the main police station.

Dziejak was serving time for second-degree theft.

His next parole hearing was scheduled for February.

He will be charged with second-degree escape.
