Woman assaulted on way to class at HCC

A female Honolulu Community College student allegedly was hit on the back of the head by a homeless man on Dillingham Boulevard this morning as she was on her way to school, University of Hawaii officials reported.

The incident occurred off campus near the city bus stop on Dillingham Boulevard at 6:40 a.m. The homeless man fled and the woman, who apparently was not injured, went to class, the university said.

The case was reported to the police as an assault.
