The Hawaii soccer team was unable to rally from a two-goal deficit and lost 2-1 at UC Riverside today.

The Rainbow Wahine dropped to 0-3 in Big West Conference play heading into Sunday’s match at Cal State Fullerton.

UH (3-9-1 overall) dropped to 0-5 on the mainland this season. UCR (7-6, 1-1) got a header goal from Tatum Lockett in the third minute and Tyler Cunningham tacked on a score in the 25th.

Wahine defender Lidia Battaglia got a goal back on a free kick by Storm Kenui in the 38th minute, Battaglia’s second score of the season. But neither team was able to find the net in the second half.
