The National Weather Service’s flood advisory for Maui expired at 11 p.m. today.

The advisory was in effect after radar at 8:02 p.m. indicated heavy rain from a strong thunderstorm over windward Maui. The heaviest rain was located between Hamoa and Kipahulu along Highway 330.

Locations in the advisory included Pukalani, Haliimaile, Pauwela, Haiku-Pauwela, Kaupo, Haiku and Makawao.
