No. 8 Hawaii turns back Long Beach State in 5

Senior Tai Manu-Olevao, junior Nikki Taylor and  sophomorer Kalei Greeley all  put down 12 kills and No. 8 Hawaii had a season-high 20 blocks to fend off Long Beach State, 22-25, 25-12, 16-25, 25-21, 15-8 in a Big West volleyball match Sunday evening at the Stan Sheriff Center. 

Senior middle Olivia Magill was in on 11 of the Rainbow Wahine’s 20 blocks.

Hawaii, winning its 11th straight, improves to 16-1 overall, 6-0 in Big West.

Long Beach State, getting a match-high 16 kills from Nele Barber, dropped to 14-5 and 4-2.
