NAMPA, Idaho » A southwest Idaho woman has pleaded guilty to throwing boiling water on a sleeping man who wouldn’t leave her house.

KTVB-TV reports that 27-year-old Marlo Ann Shamblin of Nampa pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony aggravated battery.

Prosecutors say Shamblin met the man online and invited him to her house for sex in April. Authorities say she became upset afterward when he went to sleep in another room rather than leaving.

Police say Shamblin heated water to a boil and then poured it on the man, who suffered burns to his arm, back, stomach and genitals. The man fled but needed medical help.

Police say Shamblin and her roommate made it look like the man broke in.

Shamblin faces up to 15 years at her sentencing set for Dec. 11.
