The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, together with the City Department of Emergency Management, will conduct siren testing between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. today.

The tests will be performed at Kalae Oio Beach Park in Kaaawa; Sunset Beach Elementary School in Haleiwa and Aala Park.

Residents nearby may hear the siren sound six to eight times for 30-second to one-minute intervals during the testing window. Testing will include short blasts known as “burps.” During the tests, technicians will check that installation work on this siren has been completed properly.
