No tsunami threat to Hawaii after Alaska quake

There is no tsunami danger to Hawaii following an earthquake that struck Alaska early this morning, according to officials at the National Weather Service.

The preliminary magnitude-5.0 temblor struck at 4:04 a.m. Hawaii time 95 miles northeast of Chignik, Alaska, officials said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
