Can't blame him. People are so heartless. Can't even offer some Aloha. What is happening to Hawaii? I miss the Old Hawaii of the 1960s.

Beggars robbing beggars! Who in their right mind would tip someone for pouring you a cup of coffee? You go in there and stand in line longer then it takes for them to pour it, they should tip you. Or at least sell you a tiny piece of coffee cake for less then $3!

Wow. I am conflicted. A homeless leech steals from snotty Starbucks "baristas" (foreign word meaning makes over-priced coffee).

The homeless also have to have feed their coffee fix. Must be discriminating to steal from a barista.

Bully, slightly agree w/you. But id they can't see the jar, they won't tip. I say they should secure the tip jar, and just leave a few bucks in there at all times.

I guess this incident fuels the debate over the increased crime in the Keeaumoku street area. It is also "bar" related...coffee bar vs alcohol serving bar.

Thank you! I couldn't agree more. They make their own poor choices, while the rest of us are out there busting our okoles, working 2 jobs or more, exhausted, paying taxes, etc. I still maintain, THERE ARE PLENTY OF JOBS IN HAWAII! Yes, maybe they're minimum wage, service jobs, but there are jobs, and it's better than ripping off honest, hard-working people. I'm sick of it!

mike, yours is a confusing remark. Who's not sharing Aloha, the thief or the victims? So you're condoning the thief's actions? What's this got to do with nostalgic Hawaii? Would the waitresses back then have allowed the thief to take their hard-earned tips?
