Man assaulted near Lyon Arboretum

A man was reportedly assaulted near the Lyon Arboretum gate in Manoa Tuesday morning, University of Hawaii campus security reported.

A UH arboretum staff member found the man at 6:45 a.m. near the Lyon Arboretum gate at 3860 Manoa Road.

Police were called to the scene and opened a robbery investigation. No details were available on any injuries the man may have sustained.

The unversity said the arboretum gate is on a closed, private road, which leads to the trail head and Manoa Falls.
