Rainbows hold off Pacific on the road

Marc Flores and Pi'ikea Kitamura hit solo home runs and Kalei Hanawahine went 3-for-4 with an RBI double to lead Hawaii to a 4-3 victory over Pacific on Saturday at Klein Family Field in Stockton, Calif.

Corey MacDonald (5-5) allowed three runs on seven hits in seven innings and Lawrence Chew earned his first save for the Rainbows (11-29, 6-11 Big West).

Jake Jenkins (0-7) allowed six hits and three runs in 3 2/3 innings to take the loss for Pacific (10-31, 3-14).

Hawaii clinched its second series win in the Big West and third overall this year.

The series concludes Sunday at 10 a.m.

If they could not beat Pacific, they need to drop the baseball program. Yes folks there is 2 worse teams than UH in the Mighty Big West.

The Big West also has two teams in the NCAA Top Ten. You don't judge a conference by its worst teams. Is the SEC a weak football conference because they had Auburn (3-9) and Kentucky (2-10)?
