Pacific rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to avoid a sweep and defeat Hawaii 6-5 on Sunday afternoon at Klein Family Field in Stockton, Calif.

Erik Lockwood hit the game-winning two-run single off Lawrence Chew (2-2) to cap a thrilling comeback for the Tigers (11-31, 4-14 Big West).

Dustin Torchio hit an RBI double off Chew, who was pitching for the third straight game, to put the winning run at second.

Pacific got four consecutive two-out hits in the inning to keep the Rainbows (11-30, 6-12) from their first series sweep on the road since 2007.

Austin Wobrock and Trevor Podratz drove in two runs apiece and Marc Flores and Kalei Hanawahine each scored twice for UH.

Matt Cooper scattered nine hits over 5 2/3 innings with one walk and four strikeouts.

Flores finished the series hitting .667 (6-for-9) with three walks and a home run.

Hawaii plays a non-conference game at Fresno State on Tuesday before finishing its road trip with a series at Long Beach State starting Friday.
