Man in serious condition after crashing into H-2 guardrail

A man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after firefighters managed to extricate him from his vehicle after he apparently struck a guardrail on the H-2 northbound Wednesday morning.

The accident happened at around 1 a.m. near the Ka Uka offramp where firefighters found the man, 30, pinned in his vehicle, according to Emergency Medical Services.

It is unknown at this time whether speed or alcohol was involved.
